Holiday Open House and Historical Home Tour...Oh My!

On December 4th, The Oaks at Salem opened its doors to welcome over 400 people for a double-header event. In the afternoon, the house was featured as a stop on the Apex Historical Home Tour - a self-guided tour through a select sampling of the town's most charming homes, each decorated magnificently for the holidays. In the evening, we hosted our own Holiday Open House, where amazing vendors from around the area set up displays with food, table settings, floral creations and more. The hit of the evening was a special dessert room with delectable sweets from some of the area's best caterers and bakeries! We'd like to thank each of the fabulous vendors who helped to make this event such a success, and everyone who came out to view the house in all its holiday splendor!

An Engaging Story...

Hot off the press, the 2012 issue of Weddings Magazine is out, and inside you'll find an "engaging" section showcasing The Oaks! The rustic yet elegant engagement party was featured in the "Engagement at The Oaks" spread. This magnificent outdoor dinner party featured a gourmet menu accented with a table full of colorful flowers and glassware. The intimate meal was illuminated by candlelight and the glimmer of moonlight on our pond as the evening progressed. We've been featured on the cover of Wedding Planner Magazine!

Wow, what a compliment...The Oaks at Salem was featured on the November/December cover of Wedding Planner Magazine! The inside article, "The Top 25 Design Trends for 2012", used a fabulous photo from one of our style shoots to illustrate the trend of "Nighttime Nuptials", and went on to describe the magical scene that was created around our majestic oak tree.
